EDEKA Südwest Handelsgesellschaft mbH is one of seven regional corporations of the EDEKA Group. Due to increasing deliveries amounts and the post acquisition integration of SPAR it seemed the right time to take a fundamental decision about the future logistics strategy. Together with EDEKA's logistics experts ZLU developed a new and optimised location structure which not only reduced the annual logistics costs but also the required investment in new and/or reconstruction of the existing locations.
