Starting at ZLU after an internship

I first started at ZLU with a three-month internship. That gave me a chance to show that I was able to cope with the challenges of being a consultant, had the necessary basic knowledge of the subject, and that I was willing to develop continually. From the third day, already, I dived into the new world of consultancy. At a German manufacturer of airplane seats I was able to play an active role in the supplier management. My colleagues made sure from the start that I felt part of the team. As I gathered experience about how consultants work, I was gradually given more and more responsibility. At the same time I was living the life of a consultant, and for four days a week I was working on site, confronted with longer working hours and living out of a suitcase. By about halfway through the internship it became clear that both sides wanted to reach a longer-term arrangement. I have now been working at ZLU for more than a year, and I fully support the corporate philosophy of ZLU.
