According to discussions with manufacturers and suppliers regarding key figures such as production, export or new vehicle registrations, the German automobile industry is expecting a comparatively good or even very good year of growth in 2011.
The design, optimisation and reliability of complex supply chains, will be a constant challenge, especially with regard to global procurement, production processes and distribution of completed vehicles.
Apart from this, other issues such as CKD (completely knocked down) production systems demand a high performance capability in logistics. Solutions must be developed for specific questions and challenges.
